Free Upcoming Events for Individuals with Advanced Cancer and their Caregivers

Blog0 comments

Several free support events are available within Calgary for those who are living with advanced cancer or who are caring for someone with advancing disease.

The Department of Psychosocial Oncology offers a monthly support group for caregivers of those with advanced cancer.  Support groups provide a regular opportunity to address the complicated issues of caring for and about someone with advanced cancer.  Participants have the opportunity to share experiences, in a relaxed atmosphere, with others who are going through similar experiences.

Wellspring Calgary offers a monthly Speaker Series for individuals with advanced cancer and their caregivers.  Speaker Series sessions provide comprehensive information and support regarding a range of topics (e.g., decision-making, communication with loved ones, and legacy) to help individuals and their caregivers navigate life with advancing cancer.

Further details about these services are provided, below.
